Thanks Can Be Hard

~Feeling Sorry For Myself~

It may not be kosher, but we've all done it!

I looked in my email for the very last time

For a message a note a comment

From his heart to mine.

But nothing was there

Not a single word

My constant searching

Makes me feel like a nerd.

I don’t know why I think he still cares

Is it my dreams my hopes

Ive cried plenty of tears.

He’s done his best to give me a cold shoulder

The passive aggressive couldn't be any colder.

I think what hurts most

Today and beyond

Is how I gave my heart

And he won’t respond.

He used to be so nice

Never missing a beat

And the thing I feared most

Is standing at my feet!

Somehow Ill manage my heart strings

And such

But theres things about him

I miss so much.

Today is Thanksgiving, a time when many of us reflect heavily on the things were thankful for. I'm no different in that regard. I have many thanks be to God for my existence and experiences in living. Family & friends, health, and freedom are at the top of my list today and for those who know me these things are at the top every day.This year was a bit different for me as some of you are aware of the losses we had, (sometimes THANKS can be hard).

We lost a couple pets to tragedy, and of course the falling away of my fiance’ of 7years.But through these what seemed like miserable beyond words events, I can still only thank God for my life and all these experiences. Someday, they will all make sense I hope! And what doesn't kill us makes us stronger right?


But for now, God Bless you all and whatever you may be experiencing in your life…..it’s my belief that no matter what it is we go through….we are never alone!I'm thankful for that too.

Life In The Fast Lane Alaska? R&R End

We've been having the most wonderful time with our two kid's being home from Afaganastan for R&R.We had a Birthday Party, a Thanksgiving dinner (with rotisserie chicken), it worked well, did some Mexican Food at Jalapenos some bowling, and the movies. Oh.....did I mention Christmas too?

I can't believe though how MUCH we've been able to do with them since they've been home.....

They will be returning to their post(few days) to finish their tour over there.I am so amazed at how much she has grown up and been able to do in 2 years.My little combat medic.....I'm so proud of her.
